We, at Lifelab Studios, believe that every person should has important things to share, along with a unique voice and perspective that each member should feel empowered to use. We have built a platform and features to allow you to do that in ways that you feel good about, that allows you to own your data, and that connect you with others. Our privacy policy is designed to protect your data, at the same time ensuring we can learn from your participation to continually improve the experience.

• While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to email, first and last name, and usage data described below.

• The platform allows You to create an account and log in to use the Service through Google and Apple. If You decide to register through or otherwise grant us access to a Third-Party Social Media Service, We may collect Personal data that is already associated with Your Third-Party Social Media Service's account, such as Your name, Your email address, Your Avatar associated with that account.

• We use Cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on Our Service and store certain information. Tracking technologies used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze Our Service. 

• Lifelab Studios, Inc. will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

• The Company will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. We may also work with third party partners to help improve the functionality of the service and answer key research questions. This may include sharing personally identifiable information with research partners to support studies aimed at improving our services and understanding user behavior.

• When You share personal information or otherwise interact in the public areas with other users, such information may be viewed by all users. Similarly, other users will be able to view descriptions of Your activity, communicate with You and view Your profile. These platform data and storeis could be publicly distributed outside by other members.

• Group leaders can see all your participation data from that group, and may use your data in the context of organizational evaluation goals. Using our backend dashboards, toolkits, and data reports, they can even perform non-platform services with the data. For example, a teacher could evaluate your platform participation to provide you a grade.

• We endeavor to protect the privacy of your account and other Personal Information we hold in our records, but we cannot guarantee complete security. The Services may contain links to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites. When following a link to another site you should read that site’s privacy policy.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

• Account means a unique account created for You to access our Service or parts of our Service.

Payments

We may provide paid products and/or services within the Service. In that case, we may use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors).

We will not store or collect Your payment card details. That information is provided directly to Our third-party payment processors whose use of Your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

General Policy

Journey.do is designed for individuals 13 years of age and older and is not generally available to children under 13. We do not market to or knowingly collect information from children under 13 except in the limited circumstances described below.

Limited Access for Youth Under 13

In specific cases where Journey.do is provided through institutional partners (such as justice programs, diversion programs, or educational institutions), we may permit children under 13 to access the platform only with verified parental or legal guardian consent. When we do so, we comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Information We Collect from Children Under 13

When authorized by a verified parental waiver, we collect only the minimum information needed for the platform to function:

• Name and date of birth
• Login credentials
• Learning activity responses and progress data
• System usage data (such as login times and feature usage)

We do not require children to provide unnecessary information such as photos, phone numbers, or non-essential profile fields.

How We Use Children's Information

We use this information solely to:

• Provide the Journey.do learning experience
• Enable personalized growth journeys and progress tracking
• Provide feedback to the child and authorized program staff
• Maintain and improve platform functionality

We do not use children's information for advertising, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to their participation in the program.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information of children under 13 with third parties for commercial purposes. We may share children's information only with:

• Program administrators and authorized staff who oversee the child's participation
• Service providers that help us operate Journey.do (such as hosting providers), who are bound by strict confidentiality and security obligations
• Legal authorities when required by law or to protect the safety of the child

Parental Rights

Parents and legal guardians have the right to:

• Review the personal information we have collected from their child
• Request deletion of their child's personal information
• Revoke consent and terminate their child's account at any time

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@lifelabstudios.org with "COPPA - Parental Rights" in the subject line. Please include your child's name and the program through which they access Journey.do.

Upon receiving your request, we will verify your identity and respond within 10 business days. If you revoke consent, we will promptly disable the child's account and delete their personal information unless retention is required by law or program obligations.

Parental Consent Process

Before a child under 13 can access Journey.do:

• A signed parental consent/waiver form must be completed and submitted
• We verify the identity of the parent or legal guardian providing consent
• The child's account is created only after consent is verified

In cases where Journey.do is provided through justice system programs or educational institutions, the institutional partner may obtain and verify parental consent on our behalf using procedures approved by the institution.

Data Retention

We retain a child's personal information only as long as necessary to provide the service or as required by the program administrator. Upon completion of the program, parental request for deletion, or when no longer needed, we securely delete the information in accordance with our data retention policies.

Security

Children's data receives the same robust security protections as all user data on our platform, including encryption, access controls, and regular security assessments.
